Oracle? Many people working in the field of information systems must be familiar with Oracle. Oracle is a database software company is quite famous. Oracle was founded in California, United States. In this time, I'll post about Oracle Corporation History.

Here is a Oracle Corporation History:

• 1964 - Charles Bachman of General Electric proposed a network model with data records linked together
• 1965 - North American Aviation's Space Division and IBM made a second approach based on hierarchical model. In this case, the data is displayed in the form of a tree.
• 1969 - IBM's products based on the hierarchical model is marketed under the name Information Management System (IMS)
• 1970 - The first time the concept of relational database described by Dr. Edgar F. Codd's publications through the IBM research article, entitled "System R4 Relational"
• 1979 - Rational Software, Inc. was founded and released Oracle V.2 as a rational first database
• 1983 - Rational Software, Inc. changed to Oracle Corp.
• 1985 - Oracle announced that its database can be used on 30 platforms
• 1985 - 1000 Oracle relational database states use customer
• 1986 - Oracle supports client / server
• 1988 - Oracle entered the market ERP - Oracle Financial
