For those who are fans of the Network or a network of practitioners may already know what it is Open Standard Internation Layer (OSI Layer). Open Standard Internation Layer (OSI Layer) is a framework commonly used in a computer network. OSI Layer created by the International Standards Organization (ISO) based in Paris.
OSI Layer goal is to define the functions in the various layers that connect electronic devices to communicate data. OSI Layer consists of seven layers, namely:
- Physical Layer - is the lowest layer associated with the electrical connection. Layer used is RS-232C, where this layer defines the various pins and signals from the physical form of the connector.
- Data Link Layer - a layer that concentrates on the format of data messages, manage the data flow in and out of a node. The protocol used is the High Level Data Link Control (HDLC) and Bisynchronous. On a computer known as Token Ring.
- Network Layer - the layer that serves to member addresses solutions to the conflict and decide how the data is sent from various tissues.
- Transport Layer - the layer that is responsible for ensuring that the message the address entered or opened before the data is passed to higher layers. The protocol used is TCP / IP (Transmission Control Program / Internet Protocol) and ISO Transport Class 4 (TP4).
- Session Layer - the layer that is responsible for building relationships between computers in a network. The function of this layer is to name recognition, logging and security.
- Presentation Layer - the layer that focus on the presentation of data such as printers and computers. The function of this layer is to format the file, email and database management.
- Application Layer - the layer that serves as an interface between applications with the network, govern how applications can access the network, and then make the error messages
That was a brief description of the Open Standard Internation Layer (OSI Layer). In the event of errors or omissions please justified or added. May be useful.
